KWARK Heating Gloves are intended for drysuit users who undertake long dives in cold water, as well as for divers who want to improve comfort during shorter dives or in slightly warmer waters using external batteries with power control. This control is especially important during long decompression dives and when there is a large difference in water temperature between the target depth and the decompression stop depth.

When using heating gloves, keep the following in mind:

  • When planning a dive, you should take into account that the use of heating elements affects the saturation of the blood with components of respiratory gases. So plan your dives conservatively.
  • Always plan your dives so that the battery capacity you use is sufficient to run your heater for the duration of the dive.

Gloves based on the proven Polartec Windbloc® material are very warm, even without heating. Thanks to its good insulation and excellent absorption and transport of moisture to the outside, it effectively protects the diver's hands against heat loss. Even when turned off, the gloves maintain high thermal protection parameters when completely submerged.

The heating takes place on the basis of a heating element distributed over the entire back of the hand and around the wrist, with a power of 20 Watts per glove. It is placed close to the inner surface so that most of the heat generated warms the diver's hands.

The gloves are protected against short circuit of the installation by a fuse. The fuse is easy to replace and is located on the power cord in the connector that distributes power to both gloves.

Additional protection against the 'slow-boiled frog effect' are thermal switches that interrupt the power supply to the gloves when the temperature rises above 45 degrees Celsius.

The gloves are slightly longer at the wrist, so that this area can be properly heated from both above and below. They are deliberately not loose so that they do not pose a problem when putting on a dry glove.

Connecting the gloves is very simple. Approximately 35 – 38 cm of the power cable should come loose from the cuff. Hold the cable plug coming out of the glove between your thumb and bent index finger. You need to wrap the power cord around your hand and connect both parts of the plug. The plug fits well to achieve an IP67 seal and therefore, especially when disconnecting, we must hold it firmly with our fingers. Using both hands makes it easy to do even when wearing gloves. Pay particular attention to the cables so that they are not kinked anywhere and that you do not pull or force them. The excess cable wrapped around the hand protects it from tearing and severe bending, ensuring longer installation life. In the attached video we show how to connect the gloves.

The gloves can be washed by hand by washing your hands with soap while wearing the gloves, after securing the plugs, for example by connecting them to the power cord. You can twist, but not wring or squeeze. It is allowed to place it on a towel and apply light pressure with another towel.

The gloves come with a transport bag and a power cable with T-piece, so you can connect the gloves and vest at the same time.

The gloves are CE certified.
